Small Batch Aluminum Housing & Enclosure CNC
Low-volume and small-batch machining of aluminum housings, enclosures and sealed cavities. No tooling cost, from a single prototype to a few thousand pieces, in 6061, 7075 and 5052 with ±0.005mm tolerance and anodized finishes.

Why Small Batches Suit CNC Machining
When volumes are too low for die-casting or injection moulding, CNC machining is the practical route: there is no mould to amortise, design changes are quick, and the same program scales from ten parts to ten thousand. That makes it a good fit for prototypes, pilot builds, bridge production and custom electronics that never reach high volume.
From Prototype to Pilot Run
We machine the first article, inspect it on a CMM and hand over a dimensional report before releasing the batch. Because the same shop runs both the prototype and the pilot run, geometry does not shift between suppliers and the ramp-up is faster.
Materials, Walls and Sealing
Housings are cut from 6061, 7075, 5052 or ADC12 die-cast blanks, with wall thickness from 0.8mm. Sealing grooves, O-ring seats and gasket faces are machined in the same setup as the cavity so the assembly seals reliably. Anodizing adds corrosion resistance without changing dimensions.
Lead Time & Logistics
Prototypes ship in 3–7 days and small production batches in 7–15 days, with surface treatment adding 5–10 days. Parts are cleaned, protected against corrosion and packed in trays or EPE foam for international shipping from Shenzhen.
Why CHX Metal
220 CNC machines, 5,000 m² of floor space and ISO 9001:2015 quality management, with CMM inspection and material certificates on every shipment. One supplier covers milling, turning, 5-axis and finishing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum order quantity? From a single piece — there is no minimum for CNC small-batch work.
Is there any tooling or mould cost? No. Parts are machined directly from stock, so there is no tooling or die cost.
Can you scale from prototype to production? Yes. The same shop runs the prototype and the production batch, so geometry stays consistent.
What lead time can I expect? Prototypes 3–7 days, small batches 7–15 days, plus 5–10 days if surface treatment is required.
